2013 Cadillac ATS Named North American Car of the Year
Great news Bill DeLord Cadillac fans: To re-affirm why all Cadillac lovers are crazy about the brand, the 2013 Cadillac ATS was named the North American Car of the Year at the North American International Auto Show yesterday! This is a first-time win for Cadillac and General Motors’ 5th trophy in this division.
The new model was considered by a panel of 49 editors, auto writers & broadcasters. They awarded the 2013 ATS for it’s exceptional design and style. This year’s ATS features a new, innovate design that supports smaller engines which decreases the weight of the car and thus allows for increased mileage ratings.
USA Today quoted Davis Leone, GM executive engineer of luxury performance cars in saying that “GM management’s orders were to “get it light, get it right”.

Through polling over 1000 people, they learned the average age most people got their first car, if they name their cars, what the most popular names are, if they consistently wear their seat belts, and a lot more.

Cadillac CUE is an unbelievable experince on the new XTS
Cadillac just rolled out a brand new interface called CUE (Cadillac User Experience), and I have to say, it makes the 2013 Cadillac XTS even hotter than before.
CUE features an 8-inch LCD touchscreen that looks a lot like the screen on your smartphone. It features large icons, much like the iOS & Android software.

More Americans Buying Cadillac: New 2013 Models Are A Huge Hit In The US
As a Cadillac-lover myself, it comes to no surprise to me that the new Cadillac models are already such a huge success in the U.S. Cadillac’s new lineup for October spiked Cadillac buyer momentum, in particular with first-time Cadillac owners, which is most impressive to me. Cadillac lovers never forget their first buy: it’s an incredible lifetime experience every time you drive out of the lot in this impressive luxury vehicle. The pride of is even evident locally, as greater Cincinnati & Dayton Cadillac owners take such pride in the brand and purchase. One of the best parts of my job is getting to experience these “buyer moments” with such incredible people. I could truly share some wonderful first-time buyer stories.
Since 1902, Cadillac has been known as a renowned luxury brand, but recently, the growth in popularity and presence has made a historical impact on the industry. According to media.buick.com, the XTS luxury sedan (pictured above) sold more than 2,000 units for the third month in a row. The spike in new Cadillac owners is most impressive as about 70% of buyers that traded their cars in for a 2013 Cadillac ATS are first-time Cadillac owners. Compared to sales in October 2011, October 2012 sales are up an incredible 15%. Americans are loving their Cadillacs more now than ever.
Cadillac released a statement at the beginning of this month in response to the increasing demand for Cadillac sedans in the U.S. market. According to Chase Hawking, vise president of Cadillac U.S. sales, Cadillac is focusing on building momentum with the 2012 sedan models. “We’re taking a very long-term approach, but the initial feedback is very strong as ATS creates an entryway into the Cadillac brand for new luxury consumers.”
