2016 Cadillac CT6 Technology Upgrade

The Cadillac CT6, GM’s range-topping luxury sedan, is adding new technology to the drivetrain lineup in the form of a plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) propulsion system. The CT6, which should be available at Bill DeLord Cadillac Buick GMC soon, is expected to get more than double the fuel economy that the conventional drivetrains in the CT6 put out.

The CT6 features a lightweight structure, so it makes sense to put the PHEV into this model. With the reduction of weight, you’ll find that the PHEV provides more than enough power for this luxury model. You’ll find that the CT6 provides crisp acceleration, exceptional gas mileage and a longer electric driving range.

For daily commutes, the CT6 uses all electric driving, while it maximizes fuel efficiency while using gas and electric on the highway or while carrying heavier loads. Even if energy is stored in the battery, the CT6 will use a combination of gas and electric.

This model features an 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with 192 prismatic pouch cells. This battery leads the industry for quality levels of less than two problems per million battery cells produced. Over 73,000 GM plug-in hybrids use more than 20,000,000 battery cells. You can charge the battery with a 120-volt or 240-volt charger. As of yet, range estimate have not been released by Cadillac.

The regenerative braking system features an electronic stability program and iBooster to capture the most energy possible; and it has a blended braking so that the system for the most energy recovery in a reduced stopping distance.

The CT6 features a 2.0-liter engine with a turbo charger and variable valve technology combined with an electric motor. A rear-wheel drive electric variable transmission provides all-electric launch with great acceleration and smooth transition through the driving range. The two-motor EVT features three planetary gears to help facilitate spirited acceleration. This combination makes 335 horsepower and 432 pound-feet of torque.

Summer Events in Ohio

Before you start planning your summer events, you’ll need to do one of two things: have your current vehicle serviced at Bill DeLord Cadillac Buick GMC or stop by our showroom to test drive a new vehicle. Whether you want an SUV, sedan, coupe or truck, you’ll find the perfect vehicle. Be sure to take into consideration what you want to do other than commuting. If you have pets you plan on taking on road trips, you might look into an SUV or even a sedan if your pets are small to medium sized. Many trucks also have four doors and back seats so that even larger pets will fit in the cab.

Things to Do

Ohio always has tons of events, but what you choose depends on what you like to do. If you like to be outside, check some of the state parks for hiking, swimming and biking events and trails. If you love music, check out some of the music venues including the orchestra halls and opera halls.

For those who love nature but prefer a more structured environment, visit the arboretum and the zoo. Not only will you see things that are native to Ohio, but you’ll see animals and plants that may be from other areas of the country or even from a different country.

Festivals and Fairs

Check the different areas of Ohio for festivals and fairs. The fair season is a great time to hunt for unique hand-made gifts for Christmas, birthdays and other holidays. The recipient will be more pleased that you took the time to find something unique – and something made in the United States.

Nightlife

If you’re stuck inside all day because of work and do most of your fun things at night, check out the many clubs in all areas of Ohio. Check the clubs’ web sites often as many of them have live music and you just might happen upon a big name musician or band at one of the clubs.
